Dedicated to promoting the historic preservation and economic development of the Brandywine Village

Old Brandywine Village, Inc. develops strategies that leverage existing community assets and implements these through collaboration with community stakeholders. Today we are renewing old partnerships and creating new ones to ensure the preservation of historic assets, the redevelopment of existing property, and the renewal of community through the delivery of opportunities and services as defined by Old Brandywine Village residents.

What We Do

Old Brandywine Village works with the Wilmington Police Department and neighborhood civic associations to ensure the safety of our neighborhood as well as managing a network of surveillance cameras.

Old Brandywine Village sponsors Village Visions, a Main Street America affiliate to support existing businesses and bring new businesses to the Market Street corridor.

Old Brandywine Village works with the City of Wilmington, Downtown Visions, Job Corps, businesses and our many volunteers to help ensure clean streets and parks and the preservation of historic buildings.

Old Brandywine Village works with the City of Wilmington and State of Delaware to maintain and improve our parks including Brandywine Mills Plaza, Brandywine Mills Park and Brandywine Park.

Old Brandywine Village sponsors Brandywine Partners, a consortium of over twenty local non-profit organizations, who meet each month to discuss new community initiatives and exchange ideas.
